The hotel has the best and prime location, not very far from Piazza di Spagna. The surrounding area offers plenty of choices for meals and drinks, with lovely cafes and restaurants. I appreciated that it was within walking distance to a subway station.

It's not the first time I've stayed in a hotel and I'll definitely stay. Excellent price/quality ratio. 2 minutes to the Spanish Steps. In November, on rainy days was warm in the room, there is a place to dry your clothes if necessary. Bathroom almost more than the room itself)). Still great hard mattresses, good underwear. I'm happy with the cleaning. The single had an exit to the terrace. It was a little noisy with a working ventilation system (or something "humming" when working), located next to the terrace, but after 20 hours, the system either shut down or went into silent mode. Breakfast with good coffee to order. Croissants are warm) . Still a small elevator and a corridor on the floors are divided by several steps, so if you have mobility restrictions, you must be careful. On the breakfast terrace from 16-20 there is a bar. Didn't work or didn't notice in the past arrivals. This time, in a rain was very useful)). There's a very nice Victoria at reception, ready to help. I recommend it!
I like everything. The staff is trying and it's nice.

Our room was on the fourth floor and had its own terrace, which was obviously a plus... Our terrace was right next to the breakfast terrace, so it can be a bit noisy for sleep lovers in the morning. We got up early, it wasn't a problem for us... Breakfast corresponds to three stars. There is a selection of fruits, fresh pastries (and they are really fresh, warm, delicious), a limited selection of yogurts, a couple of sausages and a few kinds of cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, juices, water, coffee. Eggs boiled. Maybe I forgot something. Toiletries are quite nice. Anyway, honest three stars, no more or less. The location is fantastic. The very center!! Among restaurants, shops and wonderful atmosphere!!! To all the sights on foot... The staff is very polite, friendly, always ready to help.
The room was very chilly. The heating wasn't on, the air conditioning wasn't working. I slept in my clothes :( take the warmest (warmest) pajamas you have. Perhaps in winter the heating is on, we were in early November, was not pleasant. . . The number's a bit old, but the photos match, we didn't have high expectations here. . . But cleaning leaves a lot to be desired :(((((((((((((() very dusty :((((((((() very dusty :((((((() very :(((((() very dusty :(((((())) that is, the floor is washed, vacuumed ... visible surfaces are cleaned. But there are fabric sconces hanging on the walls, so it's terrible to turn them on!! Vacuum cleaners!!! The air-conditioning is in the same condition, it's literally swarming with clubs of dust :(( ... Cleaning has to be improved.

The staff at Hotel San Carlo were exceptional and the location was incredible, within walking distance of all the major sights. Both rooms we booked were reasonably large and updated with a queen bed. The hotel was really close to restaurants, bars, shopping, and local attractions. The easy access to sightseeing spots like Via del Corso and the center of the shopping district made our stay even better.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel in the heart of the city. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was superb, with great water pressure. The location was excellent, just a couple of blocks away from all the main attractions and the metro. The personnel were pleasant and extremely helpful in every way, from transportation to restaurant recommendations. The hotel even had an elevator, which was a bonus in the city center. I highly recommend this hotel for a fantastic stay in Rome.
The only drawbacks were the small shower cabin and the lack of extra towels in the room. However, these were minor inconveniences compared to the overall positive experience.

Very courteous staff. We left my daughter's teddy bear at the hotel, staff found it and kept it. We were very happy with their care and honesty. Good breakfast selection, excellent coffee. Special commendation for Dante and the friendly front desk staff.
Just the heater. Mornings were very cold.

We had a very nice stay for seven nights as a couple traveling to Rome with our 25 year old son for an August vacation.
Location: the hotel was short walk to other historical sites. The venue offered a savoury and tasty breakfast with hard boiled eggs, meats plus a nice assortment of pastries.

Very tasty breakfast with wide assortment of pastries, cheese, ham, hard boiled egg, juices, etc. Loved the patio seating for breakfast. Nice lobby. Our room had a frig. Beautiful bathroom with nice amenities. The owner was willing to make some accommodations re: our reservations, which was generous.
In our room the walls seemed bare; no paintings or other visuals. A couple of the desk staff could be more friendly. One person actually said he would not call a company to reserve for airport pick up, saying it would be unrealiable. (I told him that they had transported us from airport to Rome.) So I made myself. The company was even 5 minutes early!

The staff were very nice and the breakfast was hearty with plenty of choices. And its location.
The AC in our room was too noisy so that we turned it off before going to bed. And the shower place could be a little bigger.
